Don't let that peaceful face fool you! Oh the effort to get the boy to nap and sleep!! I won't lie, there are pretty good days when you just pop that pacifier in his mouth and he's out, but many times (and my aching back and tired eyes can attest) that it still can be pretty difficult. I type this as I exhaust what little energy I have to keep my eyes open.
I recently bought HOP on POP for Zayden and have added that to our book rotation for our daily readings. I forgot how funny that book was. I even started crackin up while I was reading it to him. However small it seems, it's very interesting and exciting to see how focused he is when being read to. I really think it's helped him understand that it's sleepy time when we read after his nightly bath. Now the trick---getting him to understand that wake-up time isn't before the sun starts to rise!
My how this week flew by! Just one more day and the weekend is here again. I just realized that I've been back at work for exactly one month now. Time really did fly by. We'll be off to Lolo and Lola's this weekend. Coo, maybe I can sleep in finally.
