Zayden loves it when Lolo and Lola visit!Yes, it is indeed a coffee morning!
Perhaps I spoke too soon about Zayden being better about his sleeping pattern and fussiness cuz boy!!...He was quite the handful this weekend! Maybe we're still not being good at reading his cues early on before he gets too fussy but damn was it hard for him to take naps and to get him to bed for the night. Babies his age supposedly need 15 hours of sleep, otherwise they're "sleep deprived" hence cranky babies. Well, you and me both Zayden--actually you, me, and your dad. Some parents may suggest to take a stand and let them cry it out as a means to train them to sleep through the night. While it's perfectly fine for some parents to take that route, I personally can't "train" Zayden using methods that would ultimately make him feel ignored and alone (thus the reason they no longer cry since they learn it will fall on deaf ears). But trust me, there are times when I feel like doing just that. Plus, if you've been to our apartment, we live in a one bedroom and it is tiny enough that his massive lungs would drive us crazy anyway if we allow him to cry it out. Another thing motherhood has given me...more will power for strength and endurance! Oh the sacrifices of a mother in putting the needs of baby before her own convenience and comfort. Funny, one of the girls here at work (a mother of a 1 year old so she knows wassup) asked if I was tired cuz "you don't look tired." I laughed and said I was faking it. Concealer works wonders--it conceals what I'm really feeling, which is ZZZZzzzzzzzz!!
Anyway, my parents came over again on Sunday. Thank the Lord!! Dave had plans to go to a bbq and it was nice to have them here so I can try and get some rest and get in some ME time (I finally was able to get my nails done...a treat for the time constricted mother). My parents are "dope" (as my mom has just now learned the usage of that word...hahaha!) They're always hookin it up with food and stuff for Zayden when they come over---don't move to the Philippines!! It's funny cuz I also learned that they both have facebook accounts. Man, here I was thinking that having this blog makes me all modern (since I'm clueless about facebook, twitter, etc--I do have a myspace, but that was set up for me and I barely even use it. Shoot the wallpaper is still the same from the beginning cuz I don't know how to change it...oh well, I'm canceling it anyway), but here my parents are, knowing about that facebook bidness! Now if I ever were to join, I'll have to say "my parents were here first!" Again, as my mom said to me, "we're dope!" Oh man that was classic!!
Well, happy monday to all...here's to the work week flying by!!
your parents are so hip to the game. my dad just learned how to work a mac this year and he is a craigslist junkie. anyway, what concealer do you use? i don't hide my dark circles but i would love to!! and good for you--"ME" time is a must...that picture of Zayden made me say, "awwwwww"...i need to see him asap.
